Test render

I started messing around with octane. Understanding the lighting was easy enough, but the shaders/materials/textures have... several levels of complexity, some base texturing is easy, but if you want the more impressive effects there's a lot to learn, anyway, here's a sample render:

  3. Is this an integrated plugin or do you use the standalone?
I only used the poser plugin until I had to work with Cinema4D and needed to export it to the standalone.

The node system is really cool and logic, and if you work with them you unterstand the whole sahder/material settings in the plugin way better.

  4. it's an integrated plugin, but it's in beta and it's not fully compatible with all of the carrara features.

About cinema4D... is it what you use for your animations? I've been thinking about doing animations for a while but carrara isn't the best option in that regard....
