Dark isn't the problem. Dark can be perfectly fine. The problem is the set pivots from sexual horror into two types of gore without any hint within the material itself. It kind of feels like you're just going for shock value, which is a thing, but it's an unexpected deviation from your usual thing!
I hope you don't take my criticism the wrong way! I do like the set - everything up to the last three pages is twisted and fun and hot, and I don't necessarily dislike the ending either, I just feel like it doesn't fit.
As much as I enjoyed the first set and was ecstatic to see a continuation, I'm not entirely sure I want to see a part 3, if for no other reason than I don't want to see anymore cute redheads getting killed off! ;)
That seems to be the general feeling people have around this set, the few that decided to give it a try didn't like the ending. So I won't be continuing this series and stick to the ones that people seem to like... so more horse fucking and alien impregnation, that seems to always please most people XD
For what it's worth, I think it came out fine and was an interesting twist to the scene. I think the "issue", if at all, is the combination of it being unexpected - since this type of content isn't stuff you've done before, and wasn't clearly marked beforehand. I think all this needs is just clearer warning/labelling and it would be fine.
I loved it sad your not going forward i love dark endings for its spicy. next time don't rush the ending so much and spread it out. sorry that the others can't handle horror so well. but that is the world we live in now and go where the profits are.
I don't think it was rushed, for the beginning of the first set you already can see that the parasites are sitting inside the caved-in skull of the men, with their tentacles coming out of their mouths,nose and ears, I don't really understand why it caught so many people off-guard. Or maybe it was the girl getting consumed to produce a new parasite. I dunno.
